In November 1989 demonstrations on ecological difficulties were being staged in Sofia and these soon broadened into a normal marketing campaign for political reform. The Communists reacted by deposing Zhivkov and changing him by Petar Mladenov, but this gained them only a short respite.the Nationwide Army is supplied almost entirely with out-of-dat
